LA BABY!!!

So admittedly I have completely failed at blogging so far! With only two posts since April, I think you will agree!
Not much has changed but I did manage to squeeze a casual trip to LA! Casual? Are you kidding, this trip blew my mind! My first time and it’s left me wanting to go back for more and more!

I was only able to stay for a couple of days as I’d jumped on the trip with my sister- she’s a flight attendant for BA so is lucky enough to see many places around the world!
Luckily, her and a few colleagues were kind enough to help me make the most of the trip and took me on a hectic day of sightseeing!
We started the day renting a car and taking the short drive to Hollywood…the place where dreams come true (At least one of mine did anyway!).  We did the walk of fame which I thoroughly enjoyed although struggled to try and spot famous names through hundreds of people’s feet as we walked through. I did manage to spot a few and even took the opportunity to take some snaps!

After that we went over to Venice Beach and this place was literally like nothing I have ever seen in my life! It’s one huge stretch of beautiful beach and you can walk all the way down it on a street full of people busking, selling unique gifts, a ton of souvenir T-shirt shops and plenty of people passing by. The atmosphere at this place was incredible and I would love to go back there sometime when I have more time in LA. If you are ever in the area and fancy a unique, buzzing day at the beach- this is definitely the place. I hooked you up good!

Next stop…the famous Hollywood sign. This, I think, was my favourite part of the trip! I just couldn’t take it in that this famous sign that I had grew up watching on TV was right in front of me! We took the car up to a place called the observatory point and were able to catch an amazing view of the sign as the sun started to set. It was a beautiful evening and we managed to take a ton of photos! If only I was Lauren Conrad and could spend my hikes in the hills eh!?

From this we got back in the car, fighting away the jet lag, and took a drive to Beverley Hills. Again, this is such an iconic place I felt like I needed to take a photo of every single sign! Don’t worry I will not bore you with them all! We took a walk down Rodeo drive and drooled over the flash cars and beautiful designer stores and even walked past the Beverley Wilshire hotel where Pretty Woman was filmed! Definitely a pinch me moment!
Sadly my trip was over before I knew it, and I was back on the plane to London. I loved my LA experience and will definitely be returning at some point as there is a lot more to experience!

I’ve not long been back from my first holiday of the year! There’s nothing better than getting away after a long British winter!

I headed off to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.

We went to Corralejo, which is about a 40 minute drive from the airport and its one of my favourite places in the world. One of the things I love about this place is that it’s literally like home from home for me and my family. We’ve been going here every March/April for a long time!

For any of you that visit here, I recommend a fantastic cocktail bar called Agua. They are THE best cocktails I have ever tasted! The staff spend so much time and care on each cocktail and the presentation is as good as the taste! The bars located looking out on to the beach and is decorated with a real beach relaxing vibe. They also offer Spanish tapas and if you fancy a non-alcoholic drink they do amazing smoothies and fresh juices! Again, they look and taste amazing! I chose them over a cocktail a few times!

I stayed at a place called Hotel Barceló, it’s a beautiful adults only hotel that has a big focus on relaxation and fitness so by the time we left we felt completely chilled!

I managed to make a few cheeky Spring purchases from Zara whilst I was there- we walked past every night and made sure to pop in just in case anything had changed! Retail therapy at its best!

It was so nice to just spend a week away from my phone and everything back home and just focus on myself and quality time with my parents! We didn’t get up to anything exciting- every day consisted of sunbathing, walking, eating and drinking!

They have the best beaches I have ever seen here! I’ve been to the caribean a couple of times but this sand dunes beach in Fuerteventura beats them every time!

Overall it was a great break and made me super excited for summer and the adventures ahead! I apologise for the photo quality! All photos were taken from my iphone.

Until next time!

Hello!

After following many amazing blogs for a long time I have finally plucked up the courage to take my very own piece of the internet!

Have you ever had one of them moments where you just look back and think ‘My life really could be a TV show’? Well, many disasters, crazy ideas and adventures later I started to get them moments more and more. So instead of entertaining myself, I thought it might be worth sharing.
I’ve decided to start this Lifestyle blog to let my creative side out and to log my journey. I want to be able to look back in years to come and read (probably cringe) about all the things I got up to!

I’m a lover of travel, beauty, fashion and fitness! All things that will have a big space on my blog.

I hope you all enjoy getting to know me!
