So admittedly I have completely failed at blogging so far!
With only two posts since April, I think you will agree!
Not much has changed but I did manage to squeeze a casual
trip to LA! Casual? Are you kidding, this trip blew my mind! My first time and
it’s left me wanting to go back for more and more!
I was only able to stay for a couple of days as I’d jumped on
the trip with my sister- she’s a flight attendant for BA so is lucky enough to
see many places around the world!
Luckily, her and a few colleagues were kind enough to help
me make the most of the trip and took me on a hectic day of sightseeing!
We started the day renting a car and taking the short drive
to Hollywood…the place where dreams come true (At least one of mine did
anyway!). We did the walk of fame which
I thoroughly enjoyed although struggled to try and spot famous names through
hundreds of people’s feet as we walked through. I did manage to spot a few and
even took the opportunity to take some snaps!
After that we went over to Venice Beach and this place was
literally like nothing I have ever seen in my life! It’s one huge stretch of
beautiful beach and you can walk all the way down it on a street full of people
busking, selling unique gifts, a ton of souvenir T-shirt shops and plenty of
people passing by. The atmosphere at this place was incredible and I would love
to go back there sometime when I have more time in LA. If you are ever in the
area and fancy a unique, buzzing day at the beach- this is definitely the
place. I hooked you up good!
Next stop…the famous Hollywood sign. This, I think, was my
favourite part of the trip! I just couldn’t take it in that this famous sign
that I had grew up watching on TV was right in front of me! We took the car up
to a place called the observatory point and were able to catch an amazing view
of the sign as the sun started to set. It was a beautiful evening and we
managed to take a ton of photos! If only I was Lauren Conrad and could spend my
hikes in the hills eh!?
From this we got back in the car, fighting away the jet lag,
and took a drive to Beverley Hills. Again, this is such an iconic place I felt
like I needed to take a photo of every single sign! Don’t worry I will not bore
you with them all! We took a walk down Rodeo drive and drooled over the flash
cars and beautiful designer stores and even walked past the Beverley Wilshire
hotel where Pretty Woman was filmed! Definitely a pinch me moment!
Sadly my trip was over before I knew it, and I was back on
the plane to London. I loved my LA experience and will definitely be returning
at some point as there is a lot more to experience!
